• HP session timers: Timeout periods can be set by Administrators to disconnect or logoff users from resources after a specified period of time. Extended features now include support for HP Remote Graphics Software (RGS) as well as Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) plus new timers that factor in CPU activity when deciding to disconnect or logoff the user. • Installation diagnostics: Diagnostic tests are now run during the SAM Server installation, which checks for common configuration or environment problems that can lead to unsuccessful SAM installations. This tool will help your installation and deployments go smoothly.
• Control of RGS clipboard: Access to the remote clipboard feature in RGS can now be controlled by SAM. This feature can be enabled or disabled in the SAM Client or forced via SAM Policy. • CAC card support: Common Access Cards (CAC), which are similar to standard smart cards and used by Departments of Defense and other security organizations, are now supported with the same features and functionality as smart cards. • Linux support: A full SAM Client is now available for use on PCs and HP thin clients running Linux.
